We are fundraising to connect Earth, science, and people. Help us build a better world ─ through the power of geoscience.
The geoscience community requires a central headquarters that is equipped for the 21st century. AGI embarked on a much-needed, ambitious renovation project in 2017 and officially re-opened in August 2018. This included a ribbon cutting facilitated by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and led by the Mayor of Alexandria, Allison Silberberg, and geoscientist M. Ray Thomasson, the new namesake of the AGI building.
Our headquarters needed work. Purchased by AGI following years of rental, the building urgently required structural, health, and safety improvements. We also recognized renovation as an opportunity to fortify the facility with state-of- the-art technology, essential resources, and collaborative spaces to advance the important work of staff, geoscience professionals, and the broader community.
Your vital contribution to the AGI Keystone Fund will help ensure that our transformed facility:
- Fosters community in the geosciences, the local area, and the world
- Prioritizes sustainability through LEED and EnergyStar certified enhancements
- Leads innovation with cutting-edge technologies and solutions
The part you play is critical. Help us represent and serve the geoscience community by providing collaborative leadership and information to connect Earth, science, and people today.
