Webinar Description

Communicating results of geoscience investigations to a diverse set of audiences will grow in importance in our 21st Century World. Communicating science is and will remain important to the entire community. GIS will continue to expand as an important tool for spatial analysis and visualization.  Story maps are web mapping applications that provide geoscientists with the ability to combine 2D and 3D maps, audio, video, photographs, and narrative that can be shared with research colleagues, or the general public, and embedded in web pages and online presentation tools. This webinar will quickly give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make your own maps for telling your own story.

CEU Credits

This is a free webinar. If you would like to obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) for attending this webinar, you will be given the option to complete an AIPG CEU application form during your registration. Registrants who attend at least 70% of this webinar and complete the CEU application will receive 0.1 CEUs from the American Institiute of Professional Geologists.

College Course Participation

A faculty member can register on behalf of a course and/or group of their students to participate in the webinar. With this registration, the faculty member can submit up to 20 participating students for awarding of 0.1 CEUs to each of them by AIPG.
